Gabriel Jesus’ transfer to Arsenal is almost complete.

The Brazilian international is one of the main targets for the Gunners in the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to improve his offensive options for the upcoming campaign.

Jesus, whose contract with City has just one year left, wants to leave the Premier League champions in order to play more often in preparation for Brazil’s World Cup campaign later this year.

Jesus’ decision to leave Pep Guardiola‘s side may have also been influenced by the arrival of Erling Haaland at City.

Arsenal and City reached a £45 million deal last week, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Jesus is already in London for his Arsenal medical. With Arteta’s team, the 25-year-old has consented to sign a five-year contract.

Jesus and Arteta worked together at City, and the Spaniard was instrumental in persuading Arteta to join him in north London.

After bringing in Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, and Matt Turner this summer, Arsenal will add Jesus to their roster.
