Valencia vs Mallorca – Valencia will host Mallorca at the Mestalla on Saturday at noon in an effort to snap a five-game La Liga losing streak. The visitors, however, have also been having a difficult time lately and have dropped all three of their most recent away matches in the top division by an overall score of 9-2.

With three wins, three draws, and three losses in their first nine games of the new season, it is fair to say that Valencia has had a patchy start.

Last Saturday, many Bats supporters would have anticipated their team might capitalize on Barcelona’s current struggles, especially after Jose Gaya gave them the lead in the fifth minute. Ansu Fati, Memphis Depay, and Philippe Coutinho scored for the Catalan club to help them come back and win 3-1 at Camp Nou.

Valencia vs Mallorca – Betting Analysis

Jose Bordalas’ team fell to 10th place in the standings and five points behind the top four after earning 10 out of a possible 12 points in their first four games of the season. However, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, and Real Madrid, who all have 17 points, have a game in hand.

With only two losses in their last seven meetings and victories in each of their last two home games, Valencia enters the matchup against Mallorca with a strong record. The Bats are hoping to end this season in the top seven after failing to qualify for Europe in each of the last two seasons. A win at the Mestalla might get them closer to that goal.

Due to such outcome, Luis Garcia’s team is now 13th in the standings, but they are still six points above the relegation zone. Mallorca enters the game on Saturday having lost each of their previous three trips to the Mestalla. However, in their most recent match in January, they defeated Valencia with a commanding 4-1 victory at home.

As they have already given up nine goals in their first three away games this season, more than any other team in the division, the Pirates will need to strengthen their defense if they are to come away with any points from this weekend’s match.
