Check out “Sports Minister Requests Gold in Cote d’Ivoire at AFCON 2023.” Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports, believes Nigeria’s Super Eagles must be resilient and unified to win the African Cup of Nations.

Senator Enoh encouraged players to proudly wear the Nigerian insignia at the NFF farewell banquet. He advised players to play for themselves, their families, and Nigeria in the Nigerian “never say die” spirit.

He stated, “With over 200 million Nigerians joyfully watching and cheering, your performance holds the hopes and dreams of our entire nation,” highlighting the team’s continental representation.

The Minister thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his team readiness assistance and advised the Super Eagles to seize every opportunity in the opener. “Fight your opponents and show Naija spirit,” he said.

Senator Enoh promised to stimulate the NFF in Ivory Coast. I promise undistracted help and to secure all that is yours, ensuring your loyal representation of the fatherland.”

Nigeria chases its fourth continental title after 1980, 1994, and 2013. On Sunday, January 14, the Super Eagles play Equatorial Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire four days later. Guinea-Bissau Wild Dogs are the final group game opponent on January 22.

Work of the Devil

Man U must try to trade unwanted forward Antony Martial this month. Martial, who has missed recent matches, can leave Old Trafford before his contract expires this season.

The 28-year-old Frenchman received no substantial offers during the summer transfer window, so clubs are not clamoring to sign him.

Martial may sit out the last months of his £250,000 contract because he knows he won’t be able to get the same wage as a free agent.

The uncertainty surrounding Martial’s future was one reason United did not pursue Tottenham-bound Timo Werner.

The rage of Osimhen

Victor Osimhen, who is currently at the center of yet another astounding meltdown at Napoli, is a player that Chelsea is interested in acquiring.

The agent of teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Mamuka Jugel, has been the target of a vehement onslaught from the Nigerian striker. Osimhen was furious to hear from Jugel that he would be traveling to Saudi Arabia this summer.

“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of dirt and a shame,” Osimhen said on Instagram. Your lack of common sense embarrasses me. “Stupid f***, remember not to mention me.”

It comes after Osimhen threatened to sue Napoli in 2023, forcing the team to issue an apology after making fun of his missed penalty kick on TikTok.
