Odd won 2-0 over Tromso to start the season. Last weekend, though, they faltered at the first major test, losing 1-0 away at Rosenborg.
In Trondheim, Pal-Arne Johansen’s men failed to get more than two shots on target. In two rounds, they have scored two goals and conceded one.
Given the opposition, which includes Viking, who have yet to surrender this season, we have every reason to expect a low-scoring match in Skien today.

Odd has won three of their previous four meetings with Viking. Despite this, Viking won the previous meeting 3-1 in early December last year in Stavanger. In each of the last four head-to-head meetings between the two teams, three or more goals have been scored.
Odd and Viking are both playing tight defensive football at the start of the season, and their matchup in the third round of the competition is unlikely to be a goal fest.
