While David de Gea’s status remains uncertain, Manchester United is considering a £39 million bid for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The contract that De Gea was under at Old Trafford, which paid him £375,000 per week, came to an end on Saturday, the same day that he was getting married. As a result, he is no longer under any obligation to play for Old Trafford.

After 12 years of service for the Red Devils, it would appear that the Spaniard will be moving on. Although Manchester United indicated in a statement that they were still having discussions with David de Gea about the possibility of him staying with the club, there has been no update since then.

And it would appear that Erik ten Hag has moved on, as Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester United are getting ready to make their first official bid to capture Inter No. 1 Onana.

He goes on to say that Onana is eager to make the switch to the heavyweights of the Premier League, but it could be some time before a deal is reached because the Italian club is hoping for closer to £50 million in exchange.
