Manchester United’s New York Stock Exchange valuation fell by almost £500million after the Glazers reportedly opted not to sell.

As part of a strategic evaluation at Old Trafford, the owners explored a full sale nine months ago.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe offered to acquire United, but the takeover process continues as fans protest the Glazers.

The Mail on Sunday stated that the owners are removing the club off the market and will try again in 2025, shattering hopes of a full sale.

That story lowered United’s share price by about £500 million on Tuesday.

United’s stock market capitalization dropped 18.22% to $3.15billion (£2.5billion).

United was valued at £6bn by the Glazers earlier this year.

Regarding Jordan Henderson’s relocation to Saudi Arabia, Brendan Rodgers has stood by him.

The former Liverpool captain discussed his move to the Middle East in a yesterday interview.

After a backlash, he claimed he did not move to Saudi for money and argued his relocation can be a ‘positive thing’ for his LGBTQ community.

In response to further criticism of Henderson, his ex-Reds manager Rodgers has defended him and claimed that people are unfairly judging him.

“Jordan, I know him extremely well and I know that the love he had for Liverpool and has and will always have for Liverpool,” the Celtic manager told Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil on talkSPORT Breakfast this morning.

“But at 32, he was probably no longer the first name on the team sheet.

“He’s won everything and probably wanted a different challenge, so it didn’t feel right for him to be at another Premier League club out of respect. So going abroad and taking on a new task fit him.

Listen, we love the game and football, and we’re all lucky to work in or around it, but for these young guys, it’s their life. So they must act in their best interests.

I think we have, you guys know too well, and you hear it more than me on the radio and whatnot, but the difficulty is there are so many morality officers across the world condemning people.”
