West Ham are encouraging Arsenal to make a third bid for Declan Rice to bring a speedy end to the saga.
Rice has given indications that he would like to move to north London, which has caused Manchester City to hold discussions with the Hammers but refrain from launching an official bid for his services. This is because Rice has indicated that he would like to travel to north London.
Two proposals made by Arsenal have been rejected by the Hammers, who are insisting that an upfront payment of at least £100 million be guaranteed and that the majority of the money be paid right away. Arsenal has made these demands.
The Gunners are optimistic that a deal can be struck, particularly considering Rice’s enthusiasm to join the club, which is one of the primary reasons for their optimism.
The most recent offer was for roughly £90 million, but if it were to expand, West Ham would have to examine the possibility of releasing their captain, who is an England international player.
