A look at “William Saliba has reportedly inked his new contract with Arsenal.” As the French defender neared the final year of his current contract with the north London club, the Gunners were eager to re-negotiate his terms and secure his future with the club.

Over the past few weeks, there have been some encouraging signals, but no official news has been made public.

But now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Saliba has signed a new agreement that will keep him with the club until 2027, and the club is going to announce his extension very shortly.

The terms of Saliba’s contract will include the possibility of extending it by one more year, up until the year 2028.

Tom Lockyer, captain of Luton, has signed a new contract with the club after recovering from a recent cardiac scare

After passing out after the Hatters’ Championship play-off final victory against Coventry a month ago, the Wales defender, who is 28 years old, underwent surgery to repair an atrial fibrillation.

Lockyer was an integral part of Luton’s ascent to the Premier League and earned a spot in the Championship’s Team of the Season. Luton manager Rob Edwards referred to Lockyer’s new contract as “a huge signing” because of his importance to the club’s success.

On the official website of the club, Edwards was quoted as saying, “Of course, after Wembley his health was the main thing, and that’s where all of our thoughts went to immediately after the final whistle.”

It was wonderful that we were able to see him sitting up and celebrating in the hospital; nevertheless, it was unfortunate that he was unable to be there with us.

“But within a week or two, he was back up and about feeling extremely optimistic about everything. He had every check that was possible, and so our medical side was really delighted with everything.

“It was a really frightening moment, which we are all aware of, but the most important thing is that he is OK and ready to crack on with us into the Premier League, and we are all so happy about that,” said the manager.

Simon Jordan thinks Tottenham can get Harry Kane to sign a new deal to keep him at the club for life

Despite receiving a sizable new contract offer from Spurs, the striker is rumored to have no intention of accepting it while the transfer window is still open.

Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been mentioned as potential destinations for Kane, but according to Jordan, any club would have to spend significantly more than £100 million to sign the England captain because Daniel Levy will not let his star player leave without a fight.

The talkSPORT analyst predicted that Bayern Munich will have to move heaven and earth. “If they believe they can acquire Harry Kane for £80 million to £100 million, I doubt it.

“How much is Harry Kane worth to Tottenham? The key objective is top four, and you can count on him to score 25 goals, but if you sell Harry Kane for £100 million, you have no idea what the new player would bring in.

“I believe Daniel Levy would demand a much higher sum for Harry Kane than what Bayern Munich is asking for.

“I believe he thinks he can keep Harry Kane,” I said. The conventional wisdom in football tells Kane that he needs to leave the team since he hasn’t achieved anything there and that, in the end, he deserves it because this is his last chance to sign a contract.

It doesn’t always work that way, but I believe Daniel has a strong conviction that he will persuade the man to stay.

“But even if he is unable to persuade the player to sign a new deal, I believe that someone will have to issue checks for a sum far in excess of £100 million.

“Despite the widespread consensus that Kane will leave Tottenham, I believe there is a good chance that they will either convince him to sign a new contract—which would defy conventional wisdom—or they will receive some ridiculous offer that even Daniel, in his most obtuse state, would be reluctant to reject.

“Due to the risk associated with him, Harry Kane has a choice. Spurs can either offer him a contract that will make him even wealthier than he already is by paying him more than the current weekly salary of £250,000 or he can take the risk of finding himself in a situation where he gets hurt the following year and his contractual options become less flexible.
