According to Simon Jordan, Steven Gerrard’s impending move to Saudi Arabia won’t help his managing reputation because it was “just a financial decision.”

According to reports, the Liverpool great is prepared to accept a hefty offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ettifaq, which Jordan considers to be a foolish decision on his part.

“These are not football decisions, these are financial decisions,” he remarked in reference to White and Jordan. No one can claim that they wouldn’t consider it for themselves if they were in the position to be offered the money.

“You don’t need to travel to Dubai or the Middle East or wherever he [Gerrard] is going if you want to make a football decision that will lead you on a journey that will make you a very successful manager and you back yourself.

“In this case, this is not a football decision; he won’t progress as a coach and he won’t improve his reputation in the eyes of those who would look at him and say, ‘Oh look at what you did in the Saudi league.’

They won’t imply that a Premier League position will become available as a result, therefore it’s a business choice. Let’s call it what it is and move on.

Jesse Lingard has increased rumors that he would sign a free transfer to join Inter Miami this summer, where Lionel Messi plays.

The ex-Manchester United star was snubbed by his old teammate Wayne Rooney at DC United recently, after he decided against a move for the 30-year-old.

It comes after leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of June when his one-year deal at the club ran out.

Lingard is now a free agent, but has found suitors hard to come by.

But he could be playing alongside Messi soon after he sparked speculation that he could join MLS side Inter Miami.

The England international posted videos of himself training at the club’s DRV PNK facility.

A move to Inter Miami is possible as he would not take up one of their designated player slots as he would cost nothing.
