Van Dijk is uncertain.
Unexpectedly, Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk hinted at a potential Anfield departure in an interview with The Times. The 32-year-old, who joined from Southampton, was Jurgen Klopp’s big addition in 2018 and helped the squad win every award available.
With 18 months remaining on his contract, Van Dijk is unsure if he will stay after Klopp announced his exit in the summer. “It is clearly known that the club will be facing a significant task,” he remarked.
“There will be a lot of changes, including replacing the manager and the entire staff. “We’ll see our situation when that is announced, but I’m quite curious about which path that will take.
“I am mostly concerned with the fact that the period of Jurgen Klopp will eventually come to an end. Due to the fact that I am still a part of it, I cannot bring myself to talk about it.
It is my hope that we will be able to achieve the success that we all desire, and by the time that we do, there will most likely be clearer clarity regarding the club’s long-term objectives. Then, we’ll have to wait and see.”
In response to the topic of whether or not he believed himself to be a member of the next generation, Van Dijk stated, “That’s a big question.” I can’t say for sure.

In response to rumors that he is interested in the position at Barcelona, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has categorically denied the accusations. The statement that Arteta has made indicates that he is not interested in the role.
The Spanish media has speculated that Xavi would be able to obtain a position with the Catalan giants as a result of the fact that he will be leaving at the conclusion of the current season’s play.
When asked about it, Arteta responded, “No. That is completely fraudulent information. This is something that I read yesterday, and I have no idea where it came from. The situation has made me quite angry.
“I was unable to believe it. I am unable to determine the origin of it as of now. When you talk about topics that are really personal to you, I believe that we need to use extreme caution. “I am in the appropriate location.”
