Check out “Nicolò Fagioli’s agent fights back in the Juventus betting scandal”One of the Juventus players that is presently being investigated for breaking Italian betting laws is Nicolò Fagioli.

While Italian authorities have accused 24-year-old winger Nicolò Zaniolo of betting on football, Fagioli, a member of the national squad, has acknowledged that he has a gambling addiction.

In a statement released earlier today, October 16, his representative asserted that Fagioli had a history of gambling addiction prior to joining their agency.

The agent, who happens to be the son of former Lazio and Napoli striker Bruno, claims that after the 22-year-old defender registered with his agency, he gave the young player advice on how to deal with his addiction to betting, including how to “self-report” himself.

He told Repubblica, “The father said nobody knew about it and blamed those defending the player’s interests.” Some subordinates criticize global firm management. When he joined us, Caa Stellar had problems. We advised him to self-report and seek treatment around summer.

As the betting controversy continues, Nicolò Fagioli is reportedly assisting the Italian FA and Turin city prosecutors. The Italy international faces a 10- to 18-month football-related ban if proven guilty of the betting charges brought against him.

Ten Years After Rejecting Leone Stars, Sierra Leone Calls 38-Year-Old Footballer

The acute need for a defender in Sierra Leone led to the recall of 38-year-old English defender Curtis Davies. When Davies was 28 years old, Sierra Leone called him up to the national squad for the first time, but he repeatedly turned them down.

Ten years later, the nation contacted him about joining Leone Stars, and this time, the English defender—who presently plays for Cheltenham Town in the Championship—accepted the offer.

Curtis Davies told the BBC that his response to Sierra Leone’s invitation to rejoin the national squad was that he “was like, ‘You know I’m 38, right?'”

Curtis Davies, an English player who has represented West Africa, stated he “didn’t think the opportunity would come again” to play for the nation. Davies has played for Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Hull City, and West Bromwich Albion.

The 38-year-old defender might play in his first international match for Sierra Leone on Tuesday against Somalia in Morocco if he can finish his international clearance in time.

Davies explained, “When I first got the call, I was trying to get promotion back to the Premier League – that was my focus,” as to why he turned down Sierra Leone ten years prior.

“I was attempting to remain in the Premier League with Hull the following time.” In terms of my club career, I found it a little challenging to decide.”

Sierra Leone’s new head coach, Amidu Karim, said Curtis Davies was called up because the team needed a center-back. He also stressed that age does not determine national team selection, saying that Davis would play for his team if he was healthy and capable.

“We should give him a try if he’s playing regularly for his club,” Karim told BBC. These friendlies will test him and the others to see if they match our playing style. Because we struggle at center-back, we need to try [Davies] to find consistency.
