Luton have completed the signing of Mads Andersen for an undisclosed fee

The center defender joins the team from Barnsley, where he spent four years and 167 games after signing from Danish team Brondby. His current task will be to attempt to aid the Hatters in staying in the Premier League.

I’m incredibly happy to have Mads on board, manager Rob Edwards said. He has been on the list of our hiring committee for quite some time. We saw a lot of him last season, and during his time playing English football, he constantly and excellently excelled.

He is a versatile player who can fill any position in our back three. He is an excellent defender who enjoys playing defense, and we like for ours to be able to do that. He can play, though, and he has opportunity to develop, just like everyone else we want to sign.

“We obviously lost Sonny Bradley this summer, but the position we see Amari’i Bell in now, Mads’ arrival provides us genuine quality and competitiveness in that area,” the player said. “He’s going to bring real high quality and competition into that position.

“He’s a really good guy. When I spoke to him, it was obvious that he was so ambitious to play in the Premier League and very driven and desperate to get into his national squad, but most importantly, he was determined to get into our team, to play, and to be reliable.

We are really happy that the sale has been completed, and we have a lot of faith in Mads’ ability to do well in the years to come.

The Athletic reports Baba Rahman will quit Chelsea after eight years

Since making the move to west London from FC Augsburg in the summer of 2015, the Ghana international player has had seven separate loan stints at other clubs. This indicates that things haven’t quite gone according to plan for the player, who is a national team player for Ghana.

The 29-year-old forward has spent the previous two seasons on loan with Reading after Chelsea made the decision to terminate his contract a year earlier than they had originally intended in order to make room for him to join PAOK, a team that plays in Greece.

The month of May 2016 marked Rahman’s final appearance for the Blues, during which time he racked up a total of 23 games for the club.
