And Eriksen, a member of the Danish national squad, gave the club his blessing.
He described the 20-year-old as a “strong number nine” when asked about him.
He has improved significantly since I first saw him play for the national team a year ago, therefore, yes, he is a very excellent player.
He’s a great man and a good player, said Eriksen. He has evolved, as I mentioned, and now plays the position of nine for the national team.
I must admit that I haven’t watched a lot of Atalanta games, but I am familiar with their style of play, and he blended in well there, so, yeah, he’s a terrific player.
When we last traveled with the national team in June, I mentioned United to him. Of course, I’ve said both wonderful and awful things, but in the end, what’s going to happen is what’s going to happen.

Before the Premier League season begins, Mason Greenwood will find out whether he will remain at Manchester United.
Before United’s match against Wolves on August 14, they want to make public the conclusions of an internal inquiry that has been ongoing about Greenwood for the past six months.
In February, the CPS dropped all charges against Greenwood, including the attempted rape charge; nonetheless, he has not returned to training with the rest of his teammates since the incident.
A number of clubs in Europe have shown an interest in Greenwood completing a loan deal with one of their teams.
Executives from Bayern Munich will fly in TODAY to meet with Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham, in an effort to sign Harry Kane.
As Bayern continues their pursuit to recruit the star striker this summer, representatives from both clubs will meet in person to discuss the potential transfer.
They have already had two of their bids turned down, but they continue to have faith that they will be successful in closing a deal.
