Italian news outlets claim that Juventus and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey have reached a personal agreement.

According to Sky Italia, Juve and the Gunners have begun discussing a transfer for the Ghanaian international.

The reports were also covered by Ghanaian media, raising concerns about the 30-year-old’s employment prospects at Emirates Stadium.

Partey is alleged to have rejected Saudi Arabia’s interest and a substantial offer from the Middle East in order to remain in the Premier League.

But it remains to be seen whether he might be persuaded to leave Arsenal for the Serie A giants now that Juventus have made an approach.

To be able to afford to sign the Gunners star, Juve would reportedly need to shed a number of players first.

Portuguese winger Carlos Borges has been acquired by Ajax for £12 million from Manchester City.

The 19-year-old was said to be moving to West Ham, but has instead moved to Amsterdam under a deal that lasts through the 2028 summer.

According to the transfer’s rules, add-ons could bring the sum up to $19 million (£16.3 million).

Since 2014, Borges has been a member of City’s development academy. He played last season for the Under-21s, who won the Premier League 2 championship.

Despite leading the team in scoring with 21 goals, he did not play for the senior team.
