Brighton vs Leeds -Leeds United hosts Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. Both teams enjoy a solid start to the season with seven out of nine points.

Brighton finished seventh last season, their highest top-flight result ever. This season, they’ve won away at Manchester United and West Ham United and drawn at home at Newcastle United.

Graham Potter has led the Seagulls forward significantly since he took over in 2019, both in terms of playing style and results.

Despite only winning five times and scoring 19 goals in 19 games at home the previous season, Brighton nevertheless managed to earn 29 of their 51 points away from home.

This has occasionally led to an odd disparity between the team’s observable progress and the general happiness of the home crowd.

As a result, Brighton’s game against an in-form Leeds team on Saturday may be much more important for the Seagulls than many observers may think.

This is especially true given that a vociferous minority of Brighton fans jeered their team off the field after last season’s 0-0 draw against Tottenham.

Brighton vs Leeds – Betting Analysis

Their more recent results demonstrate that the Brighton & Hove Albion backline has consistently displayed quality.

During their previous six games, Brighton & Hove Albion have only allowed three goals, demonstrating their tight defence.

Conversely, Leeds, who had such a great impact upon their return to the Premier League, had a dismal second season and narrowly avoided relegation after defeating Brentford on the penultimate day of the season.

When Leeds’ board decided to install Jesse Marsch in the dugout in February of this year, it was with heavy hearts, especially in light of the link “El Loco” had developed with the neighborhood’s supporters and community after four years of outstanding service.

To maintain Leeds’ standing as a Premier League team, that choice appears to have been a necessary evil in hindsight at least.

Although the 48-year-old manager lost his first two matches in charge as well, only Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea have defeated them in the 13 games that have followed since Marsch’s arrival at the club following heavy losses to Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur left them looking near-certainties to be relegated.

Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips were replaced with five first-team players during the busy summer transfer window, so last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Elland Road felt like a turning point for Marsch’s tenure in England.

Compatriots of the American Brendan Aaronson, who robbed Edouard Mendy to score the opening goal, and Tyler Adams, as well as Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca, contributed significantly with their tenacity in midfield.
