He stated that because we started the season with the mindset that we were the underdogs, we needed to earn some respect from the league.
“It is quite comparable (to Spain) because of the stadium not being so huge or the club not having maybe the history – but we have to use this to our advantage, and I am used to this from playing for Rayo and Mirandes in Spain.
“This was an incredible opportunity for me, not just because it is the Premier League but also because it is currently the best league in the world.
“We were familiar with the club; however, now that I have met new faces and become acquainted with new people, I am confident that this is the best decision for me, and I hope that I will be able to perform at the level.”
He continued by saying, “I don’t like it when the game is too controlled.”
