Check out “Adebayor Supports Peseiro for AFCON 2023 Title at Super Eagles Camp.” On Tuesday morning, Togo legend Emmanuel Adebayor visited the Super Eagles at their Pullman Hotel headquarters in Abidjan.

Adebayor hung out with numerous players and Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa. The former Arsenal player said the club should win the trophy in Cote d’Ivoire.

My support is with the Super Eagles to take home the championship. He said to CompleteSports.com, “I’m with Nigeria and I hope the players can deliver.”

The Super Eagles’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign began with a disappointing 1-1 tie against Equatorial Guinea’s Nzalang Nacional.

On Thursday, at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, Jose Peseiro’s team will take on the hosts, Cote d’Ivoire.

After defeating Equatorial Guinea, the Elephants lead Group A with three points. Guinea-Bissau is still without a point, while Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria both have one.

Let me in, Kalvin Phillips

Roy Hodgson, the manager of Crystal Palace, has stated that he is amenable to the notion of bringing Kalvin Phillips, a wanted midfield player from Manchester City, to Selhurst Park.

According to what he said, “There will be budgetary constraints in place in the event that Kalvin Philipps is available and a potential option for the club.”

Who knows the club’s financial capacity perception? I doubt many managers would be happy to have him join the squad, given his talent.

To me, it’s simply a name. Like most clubs, we just know that Manchester City may sell or loan him to them. If they sell him, we won’t buy. I assume we can raise our hands and advance if they lend him.

The opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League in the lead-up to what will undoubtedly be a crucial summer for both him and England is what we could then, of course, provide.

We may not be the only team in that position, so many things must happen before we know where Kalvin Phillips will go.
