England – Premier League
Date: Monday, 15 March 2021
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET Venue: Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton
Wolves will be looking to take their own piece of point off visiting Liverpool in this Monday night encounter as Liverpool has been poor in the League in recent times. While Wolves have posted mixed results in their last five league outing wining two, drawing two and losing just one, Liverpool on the other hand have not fared well at all.
Wolves currently sit 12th on the table and after getting knocked out from all competitions, they will look to put all their effort in putting up an impressive showing in the remaining matches in the league as they finished in 7th position last season.
Wolves come into the game in a poor form after a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa, with a 1-4 spanking by Manchester City coming before that. A victory over Liverpool would put them right in the contention to possibly qualify for Europe; however, their current form is an issue to worry about.
Liverpool looks to bounce back in the Premier League after having faced series of defeats in the league which saw them drop to the 8th position. They will look to take all three points on offer and ignite their push for Europe. Their progress in the Champions League may just serve as a tonic to help that push.
Diogo Jota has been impressive for Liverpool since joining from Wolves and he is in line to face his old club for this tie. Raul Jimenez is ruled out against Liverpool for this tie as he is still recovering from his head injury, so also is Willy Boly and Marcal whose return date is uncertain.
