Swansea vs Bristol City – On Tuesday night, Swansea City and Bristol City will meet again in an FA Cup third round replay, both teams hoping to advance to the tournament’s fourth round.

After Swansea’s Joel Piroe gave them the lead in the 15th minute and Reading’s Antoine Semenyo equalized in the 75th, the two Championship teams will face again this weekend.

Swansea, as previously reported, took the lead in Bristol last weekend thanks to a goal from Piroe in the 15th minute, but the Welsh club was unable to hold on to the lead when Semenyo scored a late equalizer.

As they head into this encounter, Russell Martin’s team will be riding high after a convincing 3-1 Championship win on the road against Sunderland on Saturday.

Even though Daniel Neil got an equalizer after another goal from Piroe at the Stadium of Light, the Welsh squad ultimately prevailed because to late goals from Liam Cullen and Oliver Cooper.

Swansea is currently 11th in the Championship, three points down of sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion; it looks like this season’s promotion race will be a thrilling one.

The gap between 14th-placed Reading and West Brom is currently only four points, thus Martin’s squad is very much in the playoff position.

Also on Saturday, Bristol City beat Birmingham City 4-2 at Ashton Gate in a Championship match with a lot of goals.

Thanks to a great effort and two goals by Mark Sykes, the home team is now 17th in the league, six points above the relegation zone.

Swansea vs Bristol City – Betting Analysis

Although they have never won the FA Cup, the Robins did make it all the way to the final in 1908–09, where they lost to Manchester United by a score of 1-0.

While Swansea will be without Liam Walsh (Achilles) on Tuesday, the home team did not suffer any new injuries during Saturday’s victory against Sunderland.

The starting lineup should look identical to the one that faced the Black Cats, with the exception of the inclusion of Nathan Wood-Gordon in the center of defense.

After scoring 10 goals in 25 games for Swansea this season across all competitions, the 23-year-old Piroe will start in the final third once again.

Tommy Conway, Andreas Weimann, Ayman Benarous, and Tomas Kalas have all left Bristol City because they were hurt.

Nigel Pearson’s squad will enter this game on a four-game unbeaten streak that includes Championship draws against Millwall and Coventry City.

However, Bristol City have not been victorious in the FA Cup since January 2021, having lost two of their past three matches against Sheffield United and Fulham.

The Robins and Swansea played to a 1-1 draw towards the end of October in the Championship, while the Swans won 3-1 in the Robins’ last trip to Wales in February 2022.
