Sevilla vs Granada – Sevilla had been Real Madrid’s closest rivals in La Liga, but the team is now fighting to stay in the top four after winning just one of their last six games in Spain’s top flight.

Lopetegui’s team was second going into the latest gameweek, but they lost 1-0 to Barcelona on Sunday, moving the Catalans above them, while Atletico Madrid has now taken third due to their recent strong form, leaving Sevilla in fourth place on 57 points.

Los Nervionenses are only four points ahead of fifth-placed Real Betis, and dropping out of the Champions League spots at this stage of the season would be a huge disappointment.

Sevilla have not won a league game since defeating Real Betis at the end of February, and they have only won two of their last ten in Spain’s top flight; the team was also knocked out of the Europa League in the round of 16 by West Ham United in the middle of March.

Lopetegui’s side has the second-best home record in Spain’s top flight this season, with 34 points from 14 games, and they will face a Granada side that has won just two of their 15 away league games this season, collecting only 12 points.

Meanwhile, Granada has four points from their last two league games, winning 3-2 at Alaves on March 19 before drawing 2-2 with Rayo Vallecano the previous week.

Six wins, 11 draws, and 13 defeats from 30 matches have earned the Andalusian club 29 points, putting them in 16th place in the table, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Ruben Torrecilla’s side finished seventh and ninth in their previous two seasons in Spain’s top flight, but they have found it more difficult this season, and they are very much in a relegation battle at this point.

Sevilla lost 1-0 to Granada in the rematch last October, but won 2-1 at Estadio Ramon last season.

The three-time Segunda Division champions will fancy their chances of avoiding relegation this season due to their final-round schedule, with their toughest match, at least on paper, coming away to champions Atletico Madrid on April 20.
