Panathinaikos vs. Slavia Prague – At the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium on Thursday, the second leg of Panathinaikos and Slavia Prague’s Europa Conference League qualifying match will take place.

The away team leads after the first leg by two goals, but the match is far from over as the home team tries to get back on track.

In what turned out to be a highly competitive match against Panathinaikos on Thursday night at the Fortuna Arena, Slavia Prague prevailed.

Ivan Schranz scored the game’s first goal in the final seconds of the first half, and Moses Usor’s goal 10 minutes into the second period gave Jindrich Trpisovsky’s team victory.

The red and whites easily defeated Fastav Zlin’s threat in their subsequent league play on Sunday, and they have now recovered from their opening-matchday defeat to Hradec Kralove, which came by a score of 1-0.

The Czech team will now focus on finishing its European match in order to compete in the Conference League for a second straight season.

Since they have only won two of their past nine away games, the visitors on Thursday must improve on the road if they want to avoid what could be a costly loss.

Panathinaikos is still awaiting the start of their domestic league season, but the Greek powerhouse is still hoping to advance to the next round of play despite having to overcome a first-leg deficit.

The Shamrock Green paid the price for an overall lacklustre performance on the road and are now attempting to rebound at home.

The fact that Ivan Jovanovic’s team hasn’t lost at home since losing 1-0 to Asteras Tripolis in late January will give them some consolation.

Furthermore, the hosts on Thursday have also achieved shutouts in all but one of their last seven home games, and this defence will need to be strong in order to provide a foundation on which to build.

Panathinaikos vs. Slavia Prague – Betting Analysis

Since van Schranz has scored in both of his previous two games, the Slavia Prague attacker is clearly someone to watch. The away team will be without 24-year-old Eduardo Santos because of his straight red card in the first game last week.

Sebastian Palacios of Panathinaikos is also ineligible for this match because he was suspended for two bookable offences in the aforementioned contest.

The Slovenian Andraz  Sporar, who recently made his comeback from injury, is expected to start in place of Palacios in this lineup.

The onus will now be more on Panathinaikos to seize control of events as they enter the final round of their fight to maintain their continental dreams. While we think they will win this particular match, we believe the visitors will just about pull through in the end.
