Nantes vs. Bastia – preview and prediction, team news, and lineups
Team News
With the Africa Cup of Nations now over, Nantes will be able to welcome back Jean-Charles Castelletto, Charles Traore, and Kalifa Coulibaly, possibly in time for this match.
Castelletto, meanwhile, may be given extra time to recover, while midfielder Samuel Moutoussamy, who left the field with a hamstring injury against Strasbourg, will also be absent.
Kombouare is already struggling with the loss of Wylan Cyprien due to COVID-19, so he may be obliged to use Blas in a more advanced role, allowing Roli Pereira de Sa to return to the starting lineup.
Brouard will be bolstered by two returning defenders for Bastia ahead of Thursday’s match, with left-back Kylian Kaiboue and centre-back Dominique Guidi both returning from suspensions.
With Guidi’s return to the starting lineup, Lloyd Palun could be pushed to the bench, while Harrison Manzala and Thomas Vincensini are still out.
Even if Kaiboue is poised to reclaim his place on the left side, Kevin Schur will not readily relinquish his spot after playing the entire 90 minutes in the previous victory over Reims.
Nantes possible starting lineup:
Lafont; Appiah, Pallois, Girotto, Traore; Chirivella, Blas; Geubbels, Pereira de Sa, Simon; Kolo Muani
Bastia possible starting lineup:
Placide; Le Cardinal, Bocognano, Guidi, Sainati, Schur; Vincent, Sylla; Salles-Lamonge; Santelli, Magri
