After making it apparent that he wanted to leave Bayern Munich this summer, the Polish striker was ultimately able to complete his transfer to the Bundesliga club this past weekend. That didn’t sit well with Huppenkothen, whose father had previously played professionally in Germany.

The 37-year-old Mexican woman resorted to Twitter to express her displeasure with her 2.3 million followers. After Lewandowski left Bayern Munich, Huppenkothen took to Twitter to call him “ungrateful” and posted a photo of him wearing a Barcelona shirt.

Bayern devoted everything for him, and she remarked, “sometimes we are really ungrateful.” Just before his transfer to Barcelona was finalised, Huppenkothen tweeted that anyone may be replaced.

She said: “No one is necessary! NOBODY, you may leave whenever you want.”

Bayern Munich had Robert Lewandowski for eight years, during which time he scored 344 goals in 375 games. The striker, now 33, also won the Bundesliga in each of his seasons with Munich. Nevertheless, ESPN host Huppenkothen felt his contributions to the team were insufficient.

However, Lewandowski officially stated that he did not want to play another season in Germany after his contract with Bayern expired next year. Lewandowski will join Barcelona on a three-year deal, with the option of an additional 12 months, after Bayern Munich accepted a £42.5million bid from the Catalans.
