Re-building at Manchester United is being spearheaded by manager Erik ten Hag with the help of familiar faces. Tyrell Malacia, of Feyenoord, has already been signed by the Dutchman, and Christian Eriksen, of Ajax, is close to joining him.

Also, Frenkie de Jong and Ten Hag have been linked to a reunion in the past. Ajax ace Martinez, who Ten Hag grew fond of during their time together, has been offered by Manchester United, according to the Telegraaf.
Two Eredivisie titles were won during the three-year period from 2019 to 2022, when the two worked together. Ajax is debating whether or not they can afford to reject United’s offer, which is estimated to be worth £42 million.
Ten Hag would also like to bring Antony to Old Trafford with him. Ajax are willing to pay close to £70m for the Brazilian, compared to Martinez’s £25m.
It appears that United has reached personal agreements with both players, according to the Daily Record, weakening Ajax’s negotiating position. In the last five years, Ajax has sold more than half a billion dollars worth of players.
The Netherlands made a lot of money selling players like Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt to Barcelona and Juventus, and they may be ready to do it again.
