The 28-year-old has now been signed by Fenerbahce, who placed second in the Turkish Super Lig last season.

The former Marseille star was anticipated to join Steve Cooper’s massive recruitment drive this summer and join Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest.

On the day of the deadline, however, the deal fell through because Chelsea was too busy closing other deals to send the required paperwork in time.
“Our club has made an agreement with the club for the transfer of Michy Batshuayi to our team,” the Turkish organization stated in a statement.
To advance the process, the football player travels to Istanbul for the interviews and medical examination.
Batshuayi became former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s first ever signing when he joined the club in 2016 on a five-year deal for a fee of £33.2 million.

Every Premier League team, from the cheap Foxes to the expensive Blues, is ranked by spending.

Batshuayi has played in 48 Premier League games for Chelsea, but not one in the previous four years.

Following his substitution against West Bromwich Albion, Batshuayi scored the goal that guaranteed Chelsea’s fifth Premier League championship in 2017.

The Belgian, however, was sent on loan moves to Borussia Dortmund, Crystal Palace, Valencia, and Besiktas after falling out of favor at Stamford Bridge.
The striker was released with one year left on his contract after signing a new agreement in August of last year that extended it until 2023.

Batshuayi won the Premier League, the FA Cup in 2018 and the Super Cup the previous season during his six years at Stamford Bridge, scoring 25 goals in 77 appearances.

Dele Alli, a former Tottenham star who is currently on a season-long loan from Everton at Besiktas—where Batshuayi was on loan last season—follows Batshuayi in making the switch to the Turkish top division.
