On Sunday, while on vacation in the Spanish seaside town, the 21-year-old celebrity went for a swim in the ocean. After a simple victory over the Cherries on Saturday, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola gave his team a day off.

Despite just having played two games so far this season, his team is atop the Premier League standings. And Haaland wasted no time getting on a plane to Spain for a little getaway.

Many awestruck onlookers stopped to snap photos of the £51 million summer signing as he strolled along the beach and swam in the ocean. A female companion was following him into the water, but he was spotted entering the water first.

Haaland emerged from the water in a pair of black Dolce & Gabbana couture swimming trunks, looking like a young James Bond. How long Haaland will stay in Marbella before returning to Manchester is yet unknown.

However, Haaland won’t have much of a chance to relax, as City will be playing again this Sunday, on the road against Newcastle. When he returns for the weekend’s match against the Magpies, the Norwegian international hopes to play a larger role.

In Saturday’s victory over Bournemouth, Haaland had only eight touches on the ball and completed two passes. The first goal was scored by Ilkay Gundogan with one of their passes setting up the score.

The other is the resumption of play after halftime with the ensuing kickoff. Haaland did score a pair of goals in City’s opening triumph away at West Ham, and a restful week off might be just what he needs to re-energize for Sunday’s match.
