Brighton vs Burnley – Burnley, still looking for their first away win of the season, will travel to the Amex Stadium on Saturday to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls have only won one of their previous eight Premier League home games, and are yet to win all four points in front of their own fans in 2022.

On Tuesday night, Brighton’s seven-game unbeaten league run came to an end as they were trounced 2-0 away at Manchester United.

After a scoreless first half in which the Seagulls dominated, Cristiano Ronaldo opened the deadlock six minutes after the break, before Lewis Dunk was sent off three minutes later for denying Anthony Elanga a clean goal-scoring opportunity. In extra time, Bruno Fernandes sealed the three points for the hosts, handing the visitors their sixth league defeat of the season.

Graham Potter’s side are still in the Premier League’s top half, in ninth place, four points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers, who now hold the final European slot.

Burnley’s unwelcome 11-game Premier League winless streak came to an end last weekend when they were narrowly defeated 1-0 at home by Liverpool.

On the stroke of halftime, Fabinho’s close-range tap-in was enough to separate the two teams and condemn the Clarets to their ninth league defeat of the season.

Sean Dyche’s side is still at the bottom of the standings, having won just one of their 21 league games. They are seven points short of safety, despite having at least two games in hand on the three teams above them.

Brighton vs Burnley – Team News:

Due to the absence of suspended captain Lewis Dunk, Joel Veltman or Shane Duffy will likely start alongside Adam Webster at center-back, with Enock Mwepu and Jeremy Sarmiento both injured.

Veltman began at right-back against Man United, but if he is not selected to play there or in central defense on Saturday, he might be replaced by full-back Tariq Lamptey in the starting lineup.

Adam Lallana and Danny Welbeck, who both came off the bench at Old Trafford, will be looking to break into the starting lineup, but Jakub Moder and Leandro Trossard may keep their midfield and attack positions, respectively.

Wout Weghorst, who joined Burnley in January, was forced off with a knock in the final 20 minutes against Liverpool and is uncertain this weekend, while Charlie Taylor, Maxwel Cornet, and Ashley Barnes will all be evaluated before kickoff.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Matej Vydra are making good progress in their recovery from stomach and hernia problems, according to Dyche, although they are still a few weeks away from being fully fit.

Connor Roberts will stay at right-back ahead of Matt Lowton, while Dwight McNeil will try to push his way back into the starting XI ahead of either Cornet or Aaron Lennon.

Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting lineup:

Sanchez; Lamptey, Duffy, Webster, Cucurella; Bissouma; Moder, Gross; Mac Allister; Trossard, Maupay

Burnley possible starting lineup:

Pope; Roberts, Mee, Tarkowski, Pieters; McNeil, Westwood, Brownhill, Cornet; Barnes, Rodriguez
